Retrospective
is a 2-day festival of students' short films.
The first day is traditionally dedicated to an out-of-competition program and on the second day the films, which are included in the competition are demonstrated. The grand prize of the festival is a trip to the Smolshot Film Festival in St.Petersburg, where the winners will demonstrate their works.
During the festival, everyone can join lectures and workshops with invited guests - world key professionals in the cinematography sphere.

The festival traditionally includes
7 sections: documentary, feature films, montage films, musical, experimental, animation and video-art.
Decide which category your film belongs to and indicate this in the application.

Program
Retrospective includes a competitive and non-competitive program, so you can specify in which category you would like to present your film.

Film
Send your work to cinemaehu@gmail.com and indicate:
- a link to your film uploaded to GoogleDisk, YandexDisk or any other service;
- the name of the film, its description, section and program;
- your role (director, cameraman, etc.).
NB: the film should contain subtitles in English!

| SMOLSHORTS FESTIVAL The student film festival SmolShorts, which is hosted by Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences of Saint-Petersburg University during "Smolny's readings" conference, is accepting your proposals until March 20. This is a great opportunity for EHU students to present their works not only during Retrospective but also acquire new experience of a contest at another festival. SmolShorts accept works in the following nominations: - Experimental video (duration no longer than 20 min). - Experimental animation (duration no longer than 10 min). - Experimental documentary (duration no longer than 20 min). Untitled vol.9: how it was?
On March 29-30, 2019, the annual festival - Retrospective of Student Films, which was organized by students and professors of the Media and Communication program, was held in European Humanities University.
